I will be the first to admit that since I purchased this set in January I have received many compliments from my neighbors and my friends. Just like any other stainless steel item, and we all know how popular stainless steel is, this set is very impressive when it comes to the way it looks and the overall weight.

I have been very impressed with the temperature in each of the pieces that I have had the opportunity to use this far because it is very controlled. I noticed that even if I was simply boiling some water I could see on the bottom of the pot and the heat seemed to be very even across the entire bottom. This has been a problem with most of the other cookware that I have used.

I have realized that there are some downfalls like how much trouble it is to clean them. I have followed the recommendation from the manufacturer and have not cleaned them in the dishwasher so that means I have to wash them by hand each time I use them. It is my recommendation that you wash them as soon as you are done cooking with them so you don't have to spend a great deal of time scrubbing after the food dries on them.

Another downside that I have found is that they work really well on gas cook tops than they do on a radiant cook top. Luckily I will be back to cooking on a gas cook top in just a few short months but if you have a radiant cook top, you should probably try cooking with this pot before you spend a great deal of money on a whole set.

Besides these two negatives about this cookware, I believe this set of pots and pans will be one that you will want to keep and use for a lifetime. The investment is a great one. Spend some time looking at the other All Clad stainless steel products and you are sure to find other pieces that you will love. The omelet pan is a piece that I would definitely recommend to anyone that is interested in adding to their collection.

My wife and I spent a great deal of time deciding on cookware before we made the decision to purchase the All Clad stainless steel set. We purchased some of the stainless steel saucepans for a low price and once we did we could not see cooking on any other type of cookware. Just a few months ago our local store put their All Clad inventory on sale at a really low price so we began to purchase a few items every other week. When the sale was over, we had increased our collection to twenty pieces and that does not include the lids.

We are absolutely stunned by this cookware. It has been said before but I am going to say it again, the food that we cooked in the All Clad tastes much better than before. I am not sure if this is due to the control of the heat or the high quality stainless steel. Whether you are cooking a steak or making some oatmeal, the taste will be outstanding.

The one thing that we could complain about is how hard it is to clean. Once we had some of the pans for about two years, the inside began to get dull while the outer part was still shining. As the other pans began to show signs of aging we decided to look for a solution to the problem. We knew that we could wash this cookware in the dishwasher but we were sure to always wash them in the sink. Back to the point, we were shocked to find that for just two dollars, there was a solution that was recommended by All Clad. The barkeeper's Friend cleaning powder was that amazing solution. This powder really did the job and all of our pans were cleaned beautifully. We used it on the older ones and they too were brought back to their original beauty.

So when you take a look at this cookware, do not be shocked by the price. For someone that loves to spend their time cooking, this tool is one that will last a lifetime. Purchase the All Clad and clean it using Barkeeper Friend and you will enjoy it for years.
