Anolon Advanced Bronze 10 Customer Reviews

I love these beautiful bronze-colored pots and pans.  If you have oil-rubbed, copper-type drawer pulls or faucets, this cookware will match them nicely.  The first impressions I got when I used the medium skillet and small sauce pan were excellent.  Each piece balances well in your hand, and balance is important because these pans are heavy.  The handles are easy to grasp and shaped comfortably.  They also stay cool to the touch when the pan is on the stovetop.

I was also pleased with the way they cook food - each pan heated quickly and evenly, and I didn't detect any hot spots.  When I prepared Alfredo sauce, the milk heated properly.  No burning, no scalding, and nothing stuck on the inside of the pan.  The booklet that came with the cookware says it's safe to use metal utensils with the non-stick coating.  I'll find out whether that's true or not with some more use.  I try to use nylon or plastic utensils, but let's face it - we all own some of those big metal spatulas and ladles, and we all use them sometimes!  I do love how this cookware is so easy to clean up - when some cheese oozed out of a cheese omelet I was making, I  literally wiped it right off with just a paper towel.  Sweet!  The grill pan is fantastic.  I cooked sausage in it and the grease dripped down to the bottom, with the sausage itself left sitting slightly above the grease.

My only complaint involves the small pot's lid - it was shattered when it arrived.  It had been packed in the center of the shipping box, between two of the pans.  The whole thing was completely destroyed, not just cracked but shattered into thousands of little pieces.  The moral of the story:  be careful while you're opening the box and taking the pieces out.  I don't know if the problem was due to poor packaging or rough handling by the shipping company, so I'm not deducting any stars from the rating I'm giving these pots and pans.

I bought the 11-piece set of Anolon nonstick cookware to replace my 27-year old, 12-piece set of stainless cookware.  The handles on my old set kept coming unscrewed over the last five years.  Eventually they got so bad even Locktite couldn't keep the screws tight for long.  That shouldn't be a problem with this set, because the handles are riveted on.  And, the handles are comfortable and seem pretty ergonomic.  I love the set's nonstick surface, although I don't yet know how durable it is.  I've only had my new cookware for about three weeks, but so far everything is great!  I did need to buy a new set of cooking utensils designed for use with nonstick pans, but they only cost $24.95 and I saw other sets for a lot cheaper.

They cook food evenly, and cleanup doesn't require any scrubbing - I just put them into the dishwasher.  I like the glass lids too, because I can check how the food is coming along without lifting the lid and letting heat and moisture out.  The pots and pans are balanced well, and I like the comfortable rubber coating on the handles.  It makes them cool to the touch and doesn't slip.

My only complaint relates to how this cookware doesn't stack like my old stainless set, so I have to use more of my drawer and cabinet space for storage.  I have to admit, though, that I'm willing to make that trade to have easy cleanup and even cooking.
