Anolon Advanced Nonstick Hard-Anodized Aluminum 10 Customer Reviews

I bought this set of pans more than five years ago.  At first I was reluctant to spend so much money on cooking pans, but I needed something that would last because with a family of four, I'd sure use them every day.  Well, they've held up well over all that time.  The important thing people need to know is that most non-stick pans don't like metal utensils, high heat or the harsh cleansers that are used by dishwasher detergents.  I followed the instructions and never used high heat unless some liquid was in the pan.  I also always used plastic utensils, and never put my pans into the dishwasher.  Almost every one of them is still in great shape.  Two of them got discolored over time and food started to stick, but I sent them back and they were replaced under the warranty - after I'd used them for four years!

I'm divorced now, and I'm planning to buy another set for myself.  Their even, flat bottoms and weight is an advantage when you have one of the newer glass-top induction stoves, but they also work great on gas stoves.  Cleanup was always easy when I used one of those little cello sponges.  I never had to scrub or scrape them, although I did notice that if you leave the pan sit with food in it you sometimes need to soak it in some hot water first.  Everything rinses out once you soak it, though.

I'd recommend these pans to anyone who needs to use them every day, but they're especially good with induction stoves.  Their thick bottoms are ideal for that type of stove.  Cheap, thin pans burn everything too easily on an induction stove - trust me, it happened when I had to use some cheapies.

This set is the best cookware I've ever owned.  I'm not a great cook, but with these pans no one realizes it!  The bottoms of the other sets I've owned always seemed to get ruined and I could never get the bottoms totally clean.  And with other sets the non-stick surface only lasted a few months before it started peeling and losing its non-stick qualities.  That hasn't happened with this set!

Before I bought these I spent a couple of weeks reading reviews on cookware.  I was looking for a set of pans that would last and be truly non-stick.  I've owned Calphalon, Cuisinart and T-Fal cookware sets before, and they might have been one of the less expensive lines from those brands, but none of them came even close to this Anolon set.

Now that I look back, I can honestly say I was never a terrible cook - I was just using bad cookware.  I've had this set of pans for more than a year now and I use them every day.  My teenage boys use them too.  They still wipe clean every time, and they don't have any scratches or other blemishes on them.  In fact, they still look and cook like I just bought them yesterday!

This set even seems to even-out temperatures really well - honestly, I haven't burned anything for a year now when I was using this cookware.  My friends think I must have taken some cooking classes!  It's heavier than most cookware sets and it costs a little more, but seriously, you can't go wrong with this Anolon set if you want the best, longest-lasting non-stick cookware EVER!
