One of the most amazing gifts that I received at my wedding was this cookware set. I have been pleased with them each time I use them. Some of the things I have cooked in them include pasta sauces, macaroni and cheese, and ground beef. Not once did the meat stick to the pan and it was browned to perfection (my old aluminum pans would constantly cause the meat to burn on the bottom). It seems to me that even water is quicker to boil in these pans but it could just be me... I think that the even heat distribution causes the water to boil much quicker.

I love the fact that the lids are glass so I can simply look inside to check the progress of the dish. I can easily see if things are simmering or boiling so I can follow the recipe directions.

One night I left some pasta sauce in the pan all night long and it was still very easy to clean out in the morning. I simply rinsed it out and I was done. Even the cheese that came from Mac and Cheese came right out easily. I even left that in the pan over night and I had no problems getting it clean. (I am not one to clean up after myself very quickly as you can tell). These have been the easiest cleaning pans that I have owned so far. I never wanted to clean the cookware that I had before because it was so hard to do but now I do not mind at all since it is so simple!

I would recommend this set of cookware to everybody. If they are looking for a product that is easy to clean and that looks and cooks very well, this is the set.

About a month a go I got my first Calphalon Contemporary set and I am very pleased. Of all of the times I have used them, nothing at all has stuck to them. Even when I accidentally burned a couple dishes because I was not used to the heat in these pans, the burned part of the dish did not even stick. The cleaning process was very easy. The Teflon is doing great and I have proven that they are fairly resistant to any scratches. I love the look of the set and they feel amazing when you cook with them. They are the perfect weight! When you can switch from the over to the stove top it makes cooking very easy. The "grill" pan that I purchased is just as good. I would have no reservations recommending this set to people.

I would like to let everyone know that we purchased a defective cookware set and we have not been able to get in touch with the company. We have sent several inquiries about getting refunded. I am very appreciative of those that came to my defense in response to the anonymous review that was created that said that my claims were not valid. Since this review was posted, I have been able to find several other people that have been extremely dissatisfied with Calphalon.

As we said in the first review that we placed, the one that caused such an uproar, the look of this cookware is nice but it is costly and it is not as great as the advertising makes it seem. Take a look at my first review and the follow up comments that were made and you will see why. I am really hopeful that the open forums that are available for consumers will force the manufacturer to improve the quality of their products.

I did not do much research at all before I purchased these pans close to a year ago. They are very strong and they seem to be constructed very well. Not a day goes by that I don't use them. As I read through the reviews, though, I am growing concerned about the dangers that nonstick finish on pans can cause. I would probably have chosen a stainless steel set if I had taken more time to do the research.
