I have been looking for a very heavy and solid cookware set to replace the hand-me-down set pieces that I have inherited over the years. I wanted heavy pots that would cook evenly and that were comprehensive enough for an intermediate cool. This is just what I needed.

I went over to Macy's and I put my hands all over the competitive products, including this one, before making my purchase. The Rachel Ray set did have some good reviews, but when I touched it in the store, I found that it was too flimsy for my liking and that it didn't come anywhere close to the quality of this set. The very similar Calphalon set was three times the price, but it felt poor quality as well.

To make a long story short, after several weeks of carefully shopping, I picked up this set and I am so glad that I did. Most of the home cooks out there would be extremely happy to work with this set.

I have had this set for about 2 weeks now and so far, I am liking it very much. I have read a review that says that the handles get hot very fast. I am happy the announce though that I have not had this problem. Of course, thanks to being forewarned, I have always had and will continue to have a pair of potholders near by, just in case. This set is so beautiful and functional that I don't doubt my decision to but this. I do like that the smallest pot, while bigger than the other "smallest pots", it is not too large for the small jobs. As far as nesting the pots and pans in your cabinets, it is advised that you not do this, out of fear of damaging the cooking surface. A hanging pot rack is suggested but you could always keep cardboard between the pots and pans so that nothing is damaged. So far, I am pleased to say that this set has more than exceeded my expectations.

The first cookware set that we had was nice, but it was not all that stable. So, when we went to look for out next set, we made sure to do a lot of research. At first, we were worried about the handles being too small and becoming hot while we cooked. This has not been a problem. We also thought that the weight of the pans and pots could become an issue, but they are still lightweight enough that my petite wife is able to maneuver all of the pans and pots, full of water or food, by herself. And with the nonstick surface, washing the pots and pans has become a breeze. Overall, we have been very happy with the selection of pots and pans we have and would recommend this purchase to others.

This stuff is excellent! Basically, since not as much heat is needed, I had to learn how to cook all over again. Luckily for me, burnt food does clean up easily. Cleaning these by hand is not a problem at all. Also, I did make sure to buy a couple of extra pieces since I generally do a lot of cooking on the holidays for family. I will never be in a position of not having the right pot or pan to use. You definitely will not be sorry if you purchase this set.
