Cuisinart Chef's Classic Nonstick Stainless Steel 12 Customer Reviews

I got this set around a year ago. I had the 12" set already. I also have the five quart saute pan and the two
quart sauce pan. I thought that the pans that I was going to buy were going to be of the same quality. Not
quite.
The new pans are more lightweight. I find that my food sticks more to the lighter set. I'm seeing more spotting
on my food as well. I'm also noticing discoloration, and I'm annoyed about that.
But my biggest complaint is with the pasta insert. I bought this especially for the pasta insert. This has turned
out to be a menance to my cooking experience! The holes are entirely too tiny, so the water takes forever to drain
out. I got water all over my counter when I lifted up the pasta insert! Even now when I lift slowly, the water
splashes everywhere! I had to end up buying a Faberware 8 quart pasta insert instead! That one doesn't drip.
This is okay compared to other sets, but I like my previous Chef's classic set better. If you have to buy this
set, go with the 10 or the 12 piece set. Take your savings to buy a good pasta pot.
These are great for people like me who have older hands. I used these to cook some sausage patties the other
day. They not only cooked my sausage well, but I only had to clean them with hot water. I use Barkeepers Friend on
the pots, and they look brand new. I've cooked dishes such as fried chicken, soup, onions, sauce and everything
that I cook turns out really well.
I'm very happy with my pans. I've never had an issue with anything sticking, not even with my eggs. While things
can sometimes stick to the side, it will come off. I like to use Magic Erasers on these. Look out for sales online
for these.
