I wouldn't recommend anything that I don't own and cook with everyday. My mother raised 7 children, cooking with these pots every single day and for the last 30 years, I have done the same. We absolutely love them because they are extremely durable, asy to cook with and very easy to clean. I even give these as wedding gifts and even my oldest child, who is now married, has a set. You just won't believe it until you give it a try for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

My mother bought a set of these, which included 2 different sized skillets, 3 different sized pots and a large oval roaster. This was back in the early 1960's. She used them nonstop until I inherited them and I now use them all of the time. The skillets are pitting a little now, but I continue to use them. I really do need to find some way to clean off all of the burned black stuff that has accumulated throughout the years. Would an oven cleaner ruin it? I want them to be shiny once again, but I do not know what I should use for this. Can anyone help me with this?

I have two pieces of Magnalite that my grandmother had always used. I have had more expensive cookware in the past, but I still use the pan and Dutch Oven of my grandmother's.

I have recently purchased the 13 pieces cookware set and I am extremely glad that I did. It really does heat evenly and it is super easy to clean. Since having the waterless cookware donated to me, I am having fun cooking once again.

I had received a similar set of the Magnalite as a 1983 Christmas gift from my mother. I really do love my cookware. In 2002, I put my cookware in storage and started to use my mother's older set when we began the construction of our log home. Last fall my daughter began to complain about the cookware that she was using so I went ahead and ordered her a 13 piece set of Magnalite as her Christmas gift. When it arrived, I found that it was just as wonderful as the set I received back in 1983.I found that to be so amazing that I went ahead and ordered another set for my other daughter. While my older daughter is using her set daily, my youngest daughter does not and that is because she is afraid her roommate will ruin it. Until she gets a home of her own, she is keeping it boxed up. I now can't wait to get my Magnalite out of store now that my new kitchen is finished. It is going to be like seeing a long lost friend. I find that this is the best quality cookware by far and it is sure to last a lifetime!

Based on the experience my husbands mother had with the roaster, my husband selected these pans for us. Before purchasing our own, we always borrowed her roaster to roast the turkey and it always cam out nice and moist and tender. For the price of it, this is an excellent set. While the pans might take a little longer to heat up, once they are hot, they stay hot for a very long time. You will want to make sure that you are using a pot holder when you are removing the lids to check on the food. Otherwise, you might end up burned. Also, if you burn something on the pans, they are not easily clean, although I will admit this rarely happens. When it does happen though, I simply use a nonabrasive cleaner, such as Barkeeper's Friend, and use a great deal of elbow grease. With the right work, it will come clean.
