Product Description
The bestseller among All-Clad's renowned cookware
collections, the Stainless line provides serious and
professional cooks with all the virtues that make All-Clad's
worldwide reputation unsurpassed. Key to its high performance
is a three-ply, bonded construction. Sandwiched between the
exterior and an 18/10 stainless-steel interior is a thick
aluminum core that spreads heat evenly across the bottom of the
pan and all the way up its sides. The interior is 18/10
stainless steel, highly polished so it's stick- as well as
stain- and corrosion-resistant. The exterior is gleaming,
magnetic stainless steel that works on induction as well as
conventional stovetops and, with care, remains beautiful during
this cookware's lifetime warranty against defects--and
beyond.
This classic, versatile
3-quart saucier pan has rounded sides, increasing the
amount of food the pan can contain relative to the diameter of
its bottom. Because the aluminum core extends up the sides,
foods cook uniformly in the pan, even though it's 3-1/4 inches
deep. And because the interior is nonreactive, tomato-based
pasta sauces and other acidic foods won't taste metallic. Its
polished 18/10 stainless-steel pan and lid handles are riveted
for strength and grooved on the top for comfort. The long
handle (holed for hanging on a hook or peg) stays cool on the
stovetop but won't be harmed by an oven's highest heat.
Although Stainless cookware is dishwasher-safe, hand washing is
recommended. --Fred Brack

"A fabulous, all around ktichen
workhorse!"
By, E. Haynes "Everyday User" (Philadelphia PA)
"I couldn't decide: the 3 quart saute, sauce, or
saucier.
Tradition said to stick with the saute. But I knew that I
needed something with higher sides.
A 3 quart saucepan? Who
was I kidding? That's a monster.
So, feeling like Goldilocks, I finally hit my "just right"
option, the saucier.
This is not a pan that is well known, but what's not to love?
The high sides and beveled inside curve mean you can reduce and
whisk and sauce to your heart's content without sticking. The
large surface area of the bottom plate means you can saute and
sear without worry of space constraints. And I haven't even
mentioned how evenly it conducts heat, its well-balanced heft,
or striking beauty on my pot rack.
This pan does it all. Break with tradition as I did, and you'll
use it almost daily just as I do."
"I love it!"
By, Ron (Minnesota)
"I make a lot of sauces. The rounded sides make it easy to
stir the sauce and the cladded sides provide even heat
distribution - don't know how I got along without it. Also
great for small quantities of vegetables. I recommend it
unqualifedly - 5 stars all the way!"
"My new favorite pan!"
By, A. Josephs "GadgetNYC" (New York, NY)
"Such a beautiful and useful shape. I have the 5-1/2 quart.
It is a perfect size between a saucepan and stock/pasta pot. It
has a wide bulb that is great for cooking stews, rice, sautes
and of course sauces."
