Swiss Diamond 6 Piece Cast Aluminum Customer Reviews
Real Feedback Submitted by Real Users!
Alright, out of all of the cookware sets I have found, this is by far the best. It is the only cookware I want
to use now. It is of the highest quality and the attention to detail that they gave to this set is incredible. It
is heavy, durable and the non-stick features are extremely well thought out. I cook everyday and I have used
everything out there from Cepholon to Emeril to Costco. Nothing beats the Swiss Diamond Cast-Aluminum. Everything
else that I had owned I simply threw out. I will only use this set now because cooking is enjoyable once again.
Do not even hesitate buying this. I promise this is not something that you are going to be disappointed
with.
This is totally the best cookware set out there. Nothing is sticking to it and it only takes a matter of seconds
to clean up. Sure, I can't put them in the dishwasher but do I care? Nope, not at all because this set doesn't even
need to soak. You simply wipe it clean and that's it. It's not like Teflon at all. Nothing scrapes off or peels
off. They are extremely solid and you can even use the metal utensils. I am completely replacing all of my old pans
with these now.
Okay, so we have this pan that is marketed as being made with diamonds, which is supposed to make the surface
virtually "indestructible". The makers and advertisers through jargon like "nano-composite" around. The
manufacturer has gone to say that their product does not contain any Teflon and that it is completely safe for your
health.
But what is the reality here? Basically:
* The nano-composite non-stick cooking surface is mostly made with PTFE, which is the chemical known as
Teflon.
* Despite obviously using Teflon, the pan is marketed as not containing any and that it is completely safe for your
health.
* The pans non-stick surface does scratch easily with just a common fork.
* When the surface is scratched with a normal household fork, there will be small microscopic bits of the composite
material PTFE, aka Teflon, that will be released into the food being cooked and then ingested by everyone in your
home.
* The Swiss Diamond marketing has done well to talk about the "diamonds", while ignoring the Teflon or PTFE
chemicals. It seems as though they are trying to give consumers the impression that they are cooking on
"diamonds".
* All of the consumers are being widely misled into believing that this is a product that is a safe alternative to
Teflon, when actually, it is the same thing!
* Swiss Diamond pans are currently being marketed by some of the best known retailers in the world, including
catalog companies.
I followed all of the instructions and made sure to cook at a medium heat or lower. Of course, the only things
that I really cook are that of oatmeal and some congee, which is a rice soup, and both stick to the pot. I have to
soak the pot each time in water in order to dislodge the food.
It is definitely not worth the $200 or more that I spent on this set.
I think it would be better to buy the cheap Teflon pan sets. I would probably get much better results.
A few things that were not mentioned include:
1) The lid for the small saucer is too small to fit the small frying pan.
2) The large lid for the saucer does happen to fit the large frying pan.
3) The handles won't get hot
4) No more colored enamel coating on the outside of the cookware. With this cookware, the outside surface is the
same as the inside surface. This makes cleanup a breeze! Also, there are not any ugly browned enamel spots.
5) The lids are hard to clean with the plastic like center pieces on them.
After thinking it through, I have found that the durability, scratch resistance and quality of the cookware is
much better than any Teflon pan I have ever used before.
